Garrisons Lake is relatively small, and shallow, with massive fields of lily pads, covering most of it's 86 acres. There is a launching ramp, and a parking lot with room for about 10 vehicles with trailers. There is bank fishing, but it is limited. The lake has an average depth of 3 feet, but much of the lake is unfishable after the spring, due to massive pads that come a foot or more out of the water. They are very thick, and in water that is only a foot deep. There are some laydowns along the shore, but most are in only a few inches of water. On the surface garrisons doesn't sound too inviting, but from March till the first week of May, it can be exciting. There are some pickerel, but the main fish in Garrisons is largemouth bass.
