The pond is located in the town of Milton, just a few miles off the main Route #1, to the shore. Turn onto Rt.#5 from the main highway, and follow Rt.#5, into the town. It is right around the corner from Wagamons pond. Diamond is privately owned, with a primitive launching area. You can't launch a big bass boat here, but a small cartop boat, or even a trailered boat that is light weight, around 16 feet or so, can be managed. You don't need permission to fish Diamond, but there is a no-wake type policy. the pond has a very deep shoreline in the lower portions of the lake. Right after you launch, the left hand side of the lake has a deep sloping shoreline, with lots of old trees and rocks. In the center of the lake, about 100 yards from the ramp, is an old fence line running from one side to the other, situated on some humps, with the channel running directly through the center. It is fairly deep for a Delaware Pond, at about 12 feet. There are several docks located on the right hand side of the lake when your heading to the upper end that hold good bass. The first cove on the right has structure in the center, and bass hold here all year long.
