Comment: Spatterdock beds remain throughout much of the upper portion of Silver Lake along the shoreline and the edge of the islands. However, the huge beds of past years have been eliminated by the dredging project. The invasive species phragmites and porcelain-berry are common along the water’s edge in many areas. The portion of the pond adjacent to the city park is fairly clear of vegetation with only a few small beds of spatterdock.
