Fish populations are better than might be expected for the small size of this pond. Largemouth bass are present in moderate numbers.Black crappie occurs in low numbers.Shore anglers will find several areas around the pond and parking lot that are accessible for bank fishing. The deepest area of the pond is in front of the dam, which I often holds bass during the summer months, and can be reached when casting from shore. Extensive shallow areas in the back half of the pond make boating difficult outside of the channel. A small run of river herring often occurs during April and May just below the dam at Craigs Pond.
