Although largemouth bass are abundant in this recently acquired state-owned pond, a majority of the fish are between 4 and 12 inches. A few large individuals are present as evidenced by the several citation bass reported from here each year. Black crappies are also present in moderate numbers with a high proportion of large fish, many in the 10 to 12 inch range. Average weights of crappie from this pond are higher than most. Occasional chain pickerel are taken, hiding in the weeds along shore or in the back of the pond. As with largemouth bass, bluegill numbers are high, but the proportion of large fish is low. They are present throughout most of the pond due to the relatively large expanses of shallow water. Yellow perch are present, but not abundant. However, there is a chance for a citation-size fish there.
